Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Terry became a resident of Las Vegas, NV in 1970. He joined the Bartenders Union Local 165 in 1972 as an Apprentice Bartender at the Sands Hotel, where he was eventually promoted to Bartender. He then opened the original MGM Grand (now Bally’s) in 1973, but returned to the Sands Hotel in 1975 and remained there until it closed in June 1996. He later moved to New York New York Hotel & Casino upon its opening in January 1997 and remained there tending bar through 2005.
He was an active union member, serving as Shop Steward throughout most of his career at the Sands Hotel. Terry became a member of the Bartenders Local 165 Executive Board in 1994, was elected as President in 1999, and in 2002 became Secretary-Treasurer/CEO, where he is currently serving in the same capacity. He is also Co-Chairman of the Bartenders & Culinary Pension Fund; Chairman of the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas Board of Trustees; Trustee of the UniteHere Health&Welfare Fund; and Chairman of the Las Vegas Tip Earners Defense Fund, which are all Taft-Hartley Funds.
He is an avid marathon runner, having completed more than 35 full marathons in his running career.

Lana has been in the Hospitality Business for well over 20 years. Lana began her career as a manager in some of the most prestigious hotel and casinos operating here in Las Vegas. Early in her career here in Las Vegas, Lana worked as a Manager at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino, opened up the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino as a Manager in 1996, Opened New York/New York Hotel and Casino as a Bartender, transferred into management at the Luxor, and then opened Mandalay Bay as a Bartender from 1999-2003. During her Bartending days at Mandalay Bay, she was an active Shop Steward finally recruited as an external organizer for the Bartenders Union. Lana has held many positions at the Bartenders Union: Lead Organizer; Business Representative; Staff Director; and currently President.

APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
Executive Director of Training
Executive Director and Instructor for the training classes for the Apprenticeship Program. Paul has been a Union Bartender in Las Vegas for 37 years, and has worked at numerous Las Vegas premier resort hotels. During that time he has been selected both as an “Employee of the Month” and “Employee of the Year” at several properties. He has also served as a “Buddy Trainer” for new hires at those properties and was selected to be part of a “Train-the-Trainer” Program for a company-wide Player Card system which was rolled-out at five properties across the country. Paul currently works as an on-call Banquet Bartender at three Strip properties.
He holds B.S. in Secondary Education-English from Buffalo State College and taught High School English in Buffalo New York for seven years prior to coming to Las Vegas.
